we encourage all Regions to prepare your Annual Calendar events and pass it to Media Coordinator (andyravi.mediaaustralia@gmail.com) . We shall then make an Annual Calendar combined and display on all our social media. It will save each Region time and effort preparing monthly calendars.

The 11th World Conference of the SSIO will be held 16–18 November 2020 in Prasanthi Nilayam, with the theme “Unity is Divinity; Purity is Enlightenment”. The first World Conference was held under Sathya Sai Baba’s personal guidance in Mumbai in 1968. Now, this major global event is held once every 5 years. SSIO members from all corners of the world will come together to participate in this event and express their love and gratitude to Sathya Sai Baba.
As Sathya Sai devotees prepare for this historical conference by participating in the Zone Pre-World Conferences and Young Adult Festivals, we invite everyone to access the latest information on this subject.
Unity is Divinity-Purity is Enlightenment – Study Guide

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Om Sri Sai Ram.
Wildfires have turned southeast Australia into a charred, apocalyptic nightmare, and threaten to wipe out entire species of animals. The current situation is on a scale never experienced before, causing enormous loss of life and property. It is reported that nearly half a billion animals in Australia’s New South Wales state have been killed by raging wildfires in the last couple of months, and the devastating death toll is expected to rise. Many mammals, birds and reptiles have been severely affected. As of now, it is reported that 23 people have died. The fire has burned more than 5 million hectares, an area larger than many countries, and destroyed more than 1,300 homes, as of now. The government agencies and people of Australia are working hard to control these wildfires, but it will difficult without rainfall.
I have been in contact with Mr. Krishnan Nair, Chair, Zone 3 as well as Mr. Albert Barelds, Chair, SSIO Humanitarian Relief Committee to assess the situation and help, as warranted. In consultation with the authorities, the SSIO of Australia is assisting with contributions, as requested, to support emergency services, procure essentials goods, and assist local businesses which have been impacted.
Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba has told us that sincere prayer is one of the most effective ways to assuage the grief and suffering of victims of natural disasters. Let us all pray together to Swami to shower His divine blessings on our brothers and sisters as well as the animals, birds, reptiles, plants and other species afflicted by these natural disasters in Australia. Let us also pray to Bhagawan to bless Australia with much-needed rain to quench the fires.
We will keep you updated with new developments, including how you can participate in the relief efforts.
Jai Sai Ram.
With loving regards,
Narendranath Reddy, M.D.
Chairman
Sathya Sai International Organisation (SSIO)

In view of the recent severe bushfire crisis experienced in Australia, Dr Divya Karna, an emergency physician and a member of the Sai Medical Unit Australia, has produced a Health and Safety Guide video for members of the SSIO Australia.
Sai Centres across Queensland joined together with the Sathya Sai Centre of Woolloongabba early on Sunday morning in prayer for rainfall and relief to those people, wildlife and nature effected by the bushfires. The program began with morning prayers (Suprabatham) followed by the chanting of 108 Gayathri Mantras and devotional singing.
2020 kicked off with some exciting activities. We had the opportunity to be at the Abode of His Legacy in Australia, the Sathya Sai College – Primary & Secondary campuses in Murwillumbah and Dungay. For several years now SSIO Australia members have participated in working bees at the primary & secondary campuses. The working Bee is another opportunity for us give back to the community by spending time in various clean-up activities in the grounds of the colleges. As a result, when the school term commences, students are back to a clean & tidy school, all geared up to absorb more knowledge.
