Friendship Fest 2021

Sri Sathya Sai Organisation of Australia, the Parents & Friends of the school and the staff worked together the last few months to host the community event that was first introduced in 2019 called the “Friendship Fest”. The success of the event can be measured by the number of community members participating and getting to know about the Sri Sathya Sai Organisation through their interaction with members who attended the festival from NSW & QLD centres.

NSW and South East Queensland Flood Relief

Last month, severe weather events hit New South Wales & South East Queensland bringing in heavy down pour resulting in massive floods around the 2 states. This weather event is assessed to be one of the worst experienced in 50 years. In New South Wales, more than 35,000 people were evacuated to evacuation centres.

ACT Region Medical Workshop – Good Sleep Good Health

On Saturday, 20 February the ACT Region held a successful medical workshop on the topic of “Good Sleep, Good Health” for the Canberra Tamil Senior Citizens Association. The event was run by the Sai Medical Unit in Canberra and was attended by approximately 45 attendees from the Canberra Tamil Senior Citizens Association.

Makara Sankranthi Festival at Five Dock Centre NSW

The festival of Pongal / Makara Sankranthi marks the transcendance of the Sun from the southern hemisphere to the northern hemisphere. It is marked by the day the Sun crosses the Tropic of Capricorn, heralding the closure of winter and the impending arrival of warmer days (spring to summer) in the northern hemisphere. This festival is celebrated across the entire Indian sub-continent in myriad names along with festivities unique to the Region, Languange and State.
